台灣國防部公佈的解放軍飛機航跡圖

據台灣國防部5月20日消息，解放軍當天派出多架軍機飛臨臺灣島西南空域，包括1架運-8遠端干擾機和2架殲轟-7戰鬥轟炸機，以及一架運-8反潛機。由於缺乏殲轟-7戰鬥轟炸機現場照片，在當天公佈的資料中台方還使用了網路圖片。據網友統計，解放軍飛機本月累計進入臺灣島附近空域17天，而台軍五月內放了33次廣播。
台媒注意到本次執行任務的2架殲轟-7戰鬥轟炸機，在其報導中提到，該機主要設計用以進行空中對海上和地面目標攻擊，可超音速飛行。該機除空對空飛彈外，還能掛載各式反艦武器與精確導引炸彈。台媒根據公佈航跡圖猜測，解放軍此次是按攻擊編隊在相關海域進行練習。
除了猜測協同飛行的2架殲轟-7戰鬥轟炸機航跡與運-8遠程干擾機之外，台媒也提到，運8-反潛機的飛行航跡是穿過巴士海峽，最終抵達臺灣島東部外海後再行折返。據悉，此前運8-反潛機已多次完成類似飛行，包括台軍2架F-5系列戰機在台東地區發生事故墜海前後。
有台媒根據廣播記錄報導稱，解放軍飛機5月20日一早，于8時36分、8時38分、8時54分及9時19分多次進入其所謂「防空識別區」，飛行高度100至5000公尺。台媒稱，台軍一如既往在空警戒並對解放軍飛機進行廣播，但台方公佈的資料中沒有解放軍飛機當日的照片，殲轟-7戰鬥轟炸機更是盜用其他網友拍攝的圖片。
